Job summary

Trigon America in Aurora, IL is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our service and support team. You will install, commission, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems on manufacturing equipment, diagnose hardware issues, and program PLCs in the field with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or Omron.

The role requires hands-on electrical experience, knowledge of NEC standards, and the ability to work extended hours when needed to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring and commissioning electrical control panels.
• Knowledge of PLCs and industrial networks.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• System commissioning of control panels, VFDs, HMIs, and CNC tools.
• On-site diagnostics using multimeters and scopes to isolate faults.
• Network troubleshooting of Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET.
• Preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Safety: follow LOTO and NFPA 70E standards.
• Documentation of hardware changes and update schematics.
• PLC programming and modification in the field with major brands.
