Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking an Electrical Technician Lead in Michigan, USA. The role focuses on coordinating Electrical Technicians to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

This hands-on position reports to the Operations Manager and participates in team activities. You will organize resources, drive productivity, support engineers, and mentor apprentices while performing assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial automation systems on project teams.

Qualifications

• Time served as Electrical Technician.
• Ability to read technical drawings and parts lists.
• Knowledge of PLCs.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in electrical assembly or related industry.
• Supervisory or mentorship experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize resources to meet deadlines, budgets, and production requirements.
• Drive productivity and efficiency within the electrical team.
• Support managers, project engineers, and designers in achieving objectives.
• Lead by example with fair and assertive leadership.
• Develop technical skills of the electrical team, including apprentices.
• Perform electrical assembly and debugging on automation and robotic systems.
• Wire and test control panels per schematics.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance support on-site.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available for the team.
• Adhere to ISO9001:2015 and promote safe practices.
