Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking an Electrical Technician Lead to coordinate and mentor a team of electrical technicians on automation projects. You will perform hands-on assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery on site.

You will read detailed schematics, support engineers, and travel to customer sites both nationally and internationally. A tech-focused background with automation experience and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Time served as Electrical Technician.
• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar.
• Skilled in assembly, wiring and testing control panels.
• Ability to read technical drawings and parts lists.
• Knowledge of PLCs.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in electrical assembly or related field.
• Supervisory or mentorship experience.
• Willing and able to travel to customer sites nationwide and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal communication to support cross‑department collaboration.
• Flexible, proactive approach in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize resources to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Drive productivity and efficiency within the electrical team.
• Support managers, project engineers, and designers to meet objectives.
• Demonstrate leadership as a role model.
• Develop and enhance technical skills of the electrical team, including apprentices.
• Perform electrical assembly and debugging on automation systems as part of project teams.
• Assemble, wire, and test control panels per schematics.
• Provide maintenance support on equipment, on-site as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available for the team.
• Adhere to ISO9001:2015 and promote safe practices.
