Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace facility in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an onsite Electrical Technician for a first-shift role (Mon-Fri, 7:30am–3:30pm). You will interpret blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot electrical issues, use test equipment, and support installations and preventive maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or related work.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Work from complex blueprints, drawings, schematics, service manuals and written instructions.
• Respond to electrical problems of various complexities and voltages, perform repairs and seek assistance on more difficult issues.
• Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and high voltage testers.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties as directed.
• Assist contractors in new installations or remodeling projects.
• Identify and order spare parts as required.
• Take meter readings for kilowatt hours and check facility batteries when needed.
• Improve processes and solve problems with teammates and technical support.
