Banner Engineering in Minnesota is seeking an Electrical Technician to support product development through production within our RMA team. You will define tests, perform troubleshooting, set up test systems, and analyze results under the Sr.

Director of Manufacturing – Connectivity, contributing to continuous improvement in a climate-controlled environment. The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics or related field, 0–5 years of experience, and hands-on skills with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in electronics or manufacturing.
• Experience with basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Familiarity with soldering, electronic documentation, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform production validation, troubleshooting, test-system setup and maintenance.
• Conduct failure analysis and repair activities.
• Document processes and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement production improvements.
• Calibrate or verify equipment periodically.

Base Pay Range: $27.12 - $37.00

Position Summary

From product concept to production, the Electrical Technician provides technical assistance to engineers by defining and performing tests and analyzing results within our RMA team.

This position reports to Sr. Director of Manufacturing – Connectivity.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

• Non-Exempt

What You’ll Be Doing

General duties Include:

• Production Validation, Production Troubleshooting, Test System Set Up and Maintenance and Failure Analysis and repair including:
  • Cord set soldering, crimping and fixture creation, up and validation
  • General equipment recommendation, set up and training of operators
  • Automated, Semi-Automated and Manual Test Systems
• Documenting and effectively communicating processes and findings to relevant stakeholders
• Collaborating with the engineering team to help identify and implement production improvements.
• Performing periodic internal calibration or verification of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Systems Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology or related field
• 0-5 Years Experience
• Experience working with basic hand tools
• Familiarity with:
  • Electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
  • General soldering processes
  • Communicating within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic programming languages
  • Technical Drawings
  • Lean Manufacturing
