Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking an Electrical Technician 2 to coordinate and execute electrical maintenance in our Medina, OH facility. You will support plant equipment to maximize performance and minimize unplanned downtime, with emphasis on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and drive systems.

The role requires strong problem solving, reading blueprints, basic mathematics, and a proactive safety mindset. The position may involve after-hours support and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance and operations

Qualifications

• Maintain electrical systems across the plant to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot and modify PLCs, HMIs, Servos, and drives.

Responsibilities

• Live and uphold Zero Accident safety culture and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Ensure compliance with plant rules and corporate policies.
• Maintain operation of machinery by performing preventive, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance on drives and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot HMIs, PLCs, Servos, and VFDs; implement minor program changes.
• Provide production line support to minimize downtime during emergencies.
