Job summary
Novartis Group of Companies in Durham, NC is seeking a Technician II, Maintenance & Reliability to keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably. You will support maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement activities in a regulated environment, solving technical challenges and working hands-on with advanced equipment.
The role requires a state license and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with CMMS and PLC familiarity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid State Electrical License (Journeyman or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or utility maintenance experience.
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS).
- NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Experience with CMMS like SAP PM, Maximo, or similar.
Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of controls and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
- Implement LOTO and arc flash safety practices.
- Use testing equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, voltage detectors).
- Support calibration and continuous improvement activities.
