Job summary

Intertek in Plano, Texas is seeking an Engineering Technician II (Electrical) to join our Electrical team. This on-site role provides technical support to engineering staff, performing routine testing, maintenance, and cleanup as part of a fast-paced quality assurance environment.

The candidate will prepare test samples, operate equipment, record data, perform calculations, and assist with plan development and client communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1.5+ years of experience.
• Safety practices awareness and adherence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel up to 15%.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to convey technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up test samples and test equipment.
• Operate equipment and perform testing per approved test plan.
• Obtain and record test data per standards.
• Perform calculations and analysis of test data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Communicate with clients regarding project inquiries and updates.
