Shift Work Details: Night Shift - 7pm-7am
Job Description:
Amentum is seeking an Electrical Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team in New Albany, Ohio, located at 1101 Beech Road SW, New Albany, OH 43054.
Shift Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating between front half (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday) and back half (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday) schedules, ensuring weekends off for all.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, electrical systems, power supply, generators, UPS, and control systems.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment from 24V to 480V AC, including control circuits, PLCs, and variable frequency drives.
- Support electrical expansion projects and infrastructure system maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic, conduct system tours, and assess operational status.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local electrical codes, including NFPA70e standards.
- Identify safety issues, perform equipment evaluations, and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in CMMS.
- Respond to work orders, analyze problems, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage.
- Operate diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and equipment to optimize energy efficiency.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, promote safety, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of electrician experience in relevant environments such as data centers, industrial facilities, hospitals, or manufacturing.
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet using aerial or scissor lifts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Additional Information:
- Must pass background and drug tests, and obtain security clearance if required.
- Possibility of requiring a valid driver’s license and working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Repetitive wrist movements, extensive walking, climbing, bending, and color differentiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
- Ability to wear PPE and work safely around chemicals and regulated materials.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and adapt to changing schedules.
