Electric Machinery Company in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Maintenance Laborer for the 1st shift. The role focuses on cleaning and basic maintenance tasks within the shop, break rooms, restrooms, aisles, and related areas, supporting the Maintenance Team.

The ideal candidate has a High School degree (preferred) and up to one year of maintenance experience, with certification in overhead crane, jib crane, and forklift operation encouraged. The position offers full-time hours and union benefits.

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred with 1 year maintenance experience.
• Certification in overhead crane, jib crane, and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Cleans shop break rooms and restrooms; empties trash; powers sweeps and mops floors.
• Empties manufacturing floor trash into larger dumpster and transfers to the compactor when needed.
• Cleans dumpsters with high pressure washer; trims cardboard in compactor as required.
• Supports maintenance team and may assist Electrical/Mechanical Technicians.
• Adheres to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and OSHA/EPA regulations.
