Job description

General Description

Performs electronic assembly, wire termination, cable harness assembly, and cable harness installation into chassis and modules.

DUTIES

1. Assembles electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies according to instructions and drawings.
2. Prepares kits with assemblies, parts, and fasteners for specific production runs.
3. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 0-2 years of general experience in the field or related area.
3. Cable harness building experience preferred.
4. Soldering experience is a plus.
5. Ability to obtain and maintain IPC-620 and J-STD certifications.
6. Basic computer skills.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Must be able to read and write English.
9. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Physical Requirements

• Use of standard hand tools associated with the electronics industry.
• May need to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
• Ability to distinguish colors and judge three-dimensional depth.
• Good hand dexterity for handling tools and measuring devices.
• Typically works in a shop environment with controlled temperature.
