Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Electrical Tradesperson to lay out, install, modify, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility electrical systems, including low and high voltage distribution and fire alarm systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in the trade, completion of an apprenticeship or journeyman license, and the ability to work safely with PPE and standard test equipment. OT availability and potential for flexible schedules are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Perform periodic testing of systems and maintain required records.
• Follow safety practices with PPE and test equipment to confirm de-energization.
• Diagnose and correct malfunctions in electrical systems and equipment.
• Support various electrical trade disciplines as needed.

Responsibilities

• Layout, install, modify, troubleshoot and maintain facility electrical, specialty and fire alarm systems.
• Work with low and high voltage distribution and associated components.
• Coordinate with other trades and provide direction as required.
• Test breakers, safety switches, transformers, VFDs and motor starters per standards.
