Job summary
The Building People, LLC, is seeking a full-time Electrical Technician to support the facilities engineering program for a federal Agency. The role involves handling high voltage systems, interpreting manuals, and performing complex electrical work with precision.
Candidate should have at least five years of journeyman experience, HV training, and appropriate ANSI/NETA or NICET certification when dealing with switchgear.
Qualifications
- Five years of commercial journeyman level experience.
- HV systems 600V+ require 2+ years experience and HV training.
- ANSI/NETA NICET certification when working on switch gear.
- Experience testing, repairing, and maintaining generator/equipment up to 12,470V.
- Experience with distribution lines, transformers, regulators, switches, circuit breakers, and related equipment.
- Reads building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical manuals.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties of Electronics Technician I plus advanced tasks.
- Interpret manuals and technical documents to solve complex problems.
- Receive guidance from supervisor and ensure work aligns with practices.
- Provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians as needed.
- Rebuild/repair components, wire circuits, test readings with instruments.
- Work is spot-checked for accuracy.
