Job summary

PVA TePla AG is seeking a Technician to commission complex vacuum and plasma systems. This role involves testing software, conducting maintenance, and preparing safety reports.

As a qualified professional with experience in electrical engineering, you will work independently and travel approximately 40% globally, supporting customers and providing training. Our benefits include remote work options, 30 vacation days, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Familiar with S7‑1500, TIA Portal, and safety PLCs.
• Good command of English; additional languages are a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• You commission complex, microprocessor‑controlled vacuum and plasma systems - either at our facility or directly on‑site at the customer's location
• You test software functions and ensure everything runs smoothly
• You prepare meaningful commissioning and safety reports
• You assemble electrical (and mechanical) components and carry out initial test runs
• You perform maintenance and repairs as part of planned service assignments
• You instruct our customers in the operation of the systems and provide competent training

Your Profile

• You are a certified technician or master craftsman in electrical engineering - or have a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• You understand how machines and systems work - and enjoy thinking one step ahead
• You are familiar with S7‑1500, TIA Portal, and safety PLCs, and ideally have experience with vacuum systems
• You are confident in using a PC as a professional tool
• You enjoy working independently - especially in field service
• You have a good command of English; additional languages are a plus
• You are well organized, a team player, and present yourself in a friendly and confident manner
• Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 40%) is a matter of course for you - you see it as an opportunity not only to discover countries, but also to win over customers
