Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems at the Sparrows Point Cement Plant in MD. You will complete assigned projects with the electrical team, supervise contractors when required, and document work orders and problem-solving efforts.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma, 3+ years in electrical work in cement or related industries, and a strong commitment to safety and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical field within cement manufacturing or related industry.
• Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities and emergency call-out for 24/7 operations.
• Adherence to safety protocols and use of Amrize PPE, including respirators where mandated.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and maintain plant electrical, instrumentation and electronic equipment.
• Complete projects assigned by electrical supervisor or department manager.
• Perform electrical repair work, preventative maintenance and emergency call-out tasks with safety and quality.
• Train contractors as required and generate/track work orders.
• Read plans, drawings and manuals to aid problem solving and maintain equipment integrity.
