Job summary

Essig Plumbing & Heating in Berks County is hiring a skilled Electrical Technician to install and service residential electrical systems. This role focuses on high-quality workmanship, reliable service, and customer satisfaction.

You will work with our Electrical team, with a guaranteed hourly wage plus bonus, company vehicle from home, PTO, tool program, and benefits. We value honesty, durability, and pride in a job well done.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrical License preferred or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and practices.
• Able to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised.
• Proficient in basic mathematics and measurement conversions.
• Familiar with wiring/cable, circuit breakers, PVC/MC, generators.
• Valid driver's license with no major infractions in 5 years.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical panel upgrades, lighting, EV chargers, generators and other residential systems.
• Be proficient and knowledgeable of Service System and follow it on all appointments.
• Be on time for appointments; report timesheet accurately and punctually.
• Work alongside customer service and dispatch for overall success.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Troubleshooting a variety of residential electrical systems.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand customer needs.

The Electrical Technician is a trained professional with expert knowledge of service & installation of all residential electrical systems.
