Essig Plumbing & Heating LLC in Berks County is seeking an experienced residential Install Plumber to join our team. We offer year‑round work with a guaranteed hourly wage, a take‑home vehicle, and no overnights.

You will install water heaters and other residential systems, read blueprints, follow Nexstar Service System, and work with dispatch to keep jobs on schedule. A valid driver’s license and journeyman license preferred or equivalent experience are required.

Job Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Journeyman Plumbing License preferred, or requisite experience
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, instructions and rough drawings
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised
• Proficient in basic mathematics and conversions of measurements
• Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and copper piping
• Attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Tasks & Duties

• Installation of water heaters, water conditioning equipment, well pumps, sewer pumps & other residential plumbing systems
• Be proficient and knowledgeable of the Nexstar Service System and follow it on all appointments
• Be on time for appointments; report timesheet accurately & punctually.
• Work alongside customer service & dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and.
• Complete projects individually or with an Install team.
• Accurate and timely ordering of all parts required for Return Work.
• Report to the Department Supervisor on jobs completed, sold or unserved
