Job summary

Nucor Tubular Products – North is seeking an Electrical Technician to support maintenance and operations by performing routine preventative, breakdown, and upgrade work during normal production hours.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot electrical systems, work with PLCs and motor drives, and ensure compliance with safety policies while supporting a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and modifying PLC programming.
• Experience replacing and installing AC/DC motor drives.
• Experience with Servo Motors and Controls.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and LOTOTO.
• Ability to use AutoCAD to update prints.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine preventative, breakdown, and upgrade maintenance to improve production equipment.
• Repair calls and equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and installations as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and housekeeping standards; demonstrate safe work practices.

Hourly Rate: Grade 7-10 ($19.53-$22.63 per hour), excluding bonuses

Bonus Structure: Teammates in this role typically earn an average of $46.00-$53.00 per hour with bonuses included. Combined base pay and weekly bonuses result in an estimated annual compensation of $100,542.00 - $116,381.00

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products-Marseilles is seeking applicants for the Electrical Technician position. The Electrical Technician will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by performing routine preventative, breakdown, and upgrade maintenance as necessary in order to improve the production equipment and process during the course of normal production hours. Duties include but are not limited to repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting, and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgment, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHAs, SJPs, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained,all of which are necessaryformeeting jobexpectations andthe prevention of downtime. General mechanical and electrical knowledge is necessary.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC programming.
• Experience replacing and installing AC/DC motor drives.
• Experience with Servo Motors and Controls.
• History of seeking continued job training.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E.
• Knowledge of LOTOTO.
• Ability to use AutoCAD to update prints.

• Participation in Safety Teams and programs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts.
