Nucor Tubular - Cedar Springs invites applications for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Cedar Springs, GA. This role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment inspections within a busy plant environment.

You'll diagnose mechanical and pneumatic systems, fabricate parts as needed, and support safety policies while rotating shifts. Prior maintenance experience and PLC familiarity are preferred to join our team.

Qualifications

• Two years’ industrial maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Must be able to rotate shifts and be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform maintenance.
• Complete maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance forms.
• Inspect equipment and safety.
• Fabricate parts as needed (welding, cutting, etc.).
• Repair mechanical and pneumatic energy systems.

• Use multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems (low voltage control circuits, 110 thru 480 single and three phase electrical circuits).
• Complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance forms.
• Conduct equipment and safety inspections.
• Be able to do various jobs around the plant, be it facility maintenance, plumbing etc. Strong ability to fabricate parts from scratch.
• Have knowledge to efficiently diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic energy systems.

• Be able to do various jobs around the plant, be it facility maintenance, plumbing etc. Strong ability to fabricate parts from scratch.
• Have knowledge to efficiently diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic energy systems.

Fluent in part manual reading with mechanical perception.

• Work directly with production personnel to isolate and repair equipment problems

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years’ Industrial Maintenance experience or industrial Mechanical experience
• Dependable/Flexible to rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

High school Diploma or GED Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree

• PLC experience
• Experience with AC & DC Motors, Drives, and Electrical Controls
• Process control design and troubleshooting.
• Auto Cad experience
• Experience working with vendors and contractors
• Must be able to read and write basic English
• Willing to work rotating shifts
