Nucor, North America's largest steel producer, invites an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its team in the United States. You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and automation systems, supporting production crews with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires a two-year degree or trade school in electrical fields or three years of industrial experience, and involves rotating shifts, nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical principles and practical electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to support production crews and troubleshoot electrical and automation systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, vacations, and holidays.
• Two-year degree or completion of electrical trade school, or minimum three years of industrial experience or military.
• Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and PID/closed loop control systems, VFDs (ABB, AB) and HMI programming.

Job description

Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $19.89/hr plus an additional estimated $28.57/hr in production pay, paid weekly. Teammates in this position annually average between $96,500 - $105,000.

Basic Job Functions:

This position includes but is not limited to:

• The successful candidate willpossessa working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as itrelates to the electrical maintenance function.


• The technician will provide electrical support to the production crews,maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical andautomation systems.


• The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, andholidays.


• Two-year degree, successful completion of electrical trade school, or a minimum of three years industrial experience or military.


• Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes such as PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, Variable Frequency Drive experience (ABB, AB), and HMI programming and troubleshooting
