Job summary

The DAVIS Companies are seeking an Electronics Technician in Franklin, MA on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves building/ wiring electrical panels, reading schematics, and assembling components for customer specs.

Typical shift is Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm, with a pay rate of $24/hr. Candidates should have a High School diploma and 2+ years in panel wiring and electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls desired.
• 2+ years experience in control panel building, wiring, and reading schematics/diagrams.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team.
• Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panels is a must.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material.
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
• Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches.
