Job summary

The Panther Group in Franklin, MA is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a temp-to-hire role with a leading manufacturing company. You will wire and build electrical control panels, read schematics and install subassemblies per customer requirements.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a variety of hand tools are essential. Key tasks include drilling or tapping for component mounting, completing point-to-point wiring, wiring PLCs and relays, performing deburring,

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education required.
• Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in control panel building and wiring.
• Experience reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and BOMs.
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units or openings for components, wiring or instruments.
• Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.
• Complete point-to-point wiring and install PLCs, relays, lights and switches.
• Red-line documentation to initiate ECOs through Engineering.
• Deburring, grinding and sawing operations.
• Operate hand pallet jacks to move material.
• Install finished assemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Overtime may be required.

This is a temp to hire opportunity!RESPONSIBILITIESWire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Willingness to work overtime as needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of a High School Education.Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desiredPoint-to-point wiring experience is highly preferred.2+ years’ experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
