Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Carrollton, GA seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to support a large industrial manufacturing facility. This hands-on role focuses on electrical systems, controls and PLC-driven equipment, including troubleshooting breakdowns and getting production back up and running.

You will connect to PLCs with a laptop, review logic to identify root causes, perform control circuit troubleshooting, and collaborate with the maintenance team to keep equipment running efficiently;

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing electrical and control systems in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC logic for troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with drives/VFDs and PLCs.
• Comfortable communicating with shift supervision and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and controls breakdowns across the facility.
• Connect to PLCs using a laptop via Ethernet or wireless.
• Troubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and review ladder logic for root causes.
• Perform control circuit troubleshooting and replace drives as needed.
• Make minor PLC logic changes and coordinate with maintenance to restore production.
• Work with the shift supervisor to prioritize work orders and breakdowns.

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support a large industrial manufacturing facility in Carrollton, GA. This is a hands-on troubleshooting role focused entirely on electrical systems, controls, and PLC-driven equipment.This position is a great fit for someone who is comfortable responding to equipment breakdowns, connecting to PLCs with a laptop, reviewing logic to identify the source of a problem, and getting production equipment back up and running.This is not a PLC programming position. The focus is on using existing PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment and making minor logic changes when needed.What You’ll DoRespond to electrical and controls-related equipment breakdowns throughout the facilityConnect to PLCs using a laptop via Ethernet or wireless connectionTroubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, with approximately 80% of the facility utilizing SiemensReview PLC logic to identify root causes of equipment issuesPerform control circuit troubleshootingTroubleshoot and replace drives and download/configure replacement drivesMake minor PLC logic changes when necessaryWork directly with the shift supervisor to prioritize breakdown calls and outstanding work ordersIndependently troubleshoot assigned equipment and work ordersPartner with the maintenance team to keep production equipment running efficientlyThe role is 100% electrical/PLC-focused. Dedicated mechanical technicians handle mechanical maintenance issues.What We’re Looking ForPrevious Electrical Technician, Controls Technician, or similar industrial maintenance experienceMust have experience working in an industrial manufacturing environmentHands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipmentExperience connecting to and navigating Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLCsAbility to read and understand PLC logic for troubleshooting purposesExperience troubleshooting electrical/control circuitsExperience working with drives/VFDsComfortable independently troubleshooting equipment breakdownsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of equipment failures
