Job summary

Kubota Research & Development North America in Gainesville, GA seeks an engineer to drive vehicle system design, prototyping, and cross-functional delivery from concept to production, ensuring quality, safety, cost, and manufacturability. You will collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and supply chain to develop new products and resolve field issues through hands-on development and risk mitigation.

A bachelor's in engineering and strong CAD skills are required, with experience in CAN-bus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering field.
Demonstrated experience with core design & modeling software (3D CAD) and standard documentation tools (Word, Excel).
Experience with vehicle system design: electric motor systems, mechanisms, statics, dynamics, kinematics.
Experience developing low voltage, CAN-bus, and/or high voltage electrical architectures.
Programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.).
Design of electrical components and wiring systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes: cutting, drilling, welding.
Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Growth mindset with passion for innovation.
Strong problem solving and decision making.
Experience with cost estimation and product development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project stakeholders throughout the design process from concept to production.
Ensure product development meets customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Develop, design, and prototype new products, systems, and technologies.
Create product specifications and design reports.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and QA teams.
