Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical System Engineer to design, develop, and validate STS and PDU 3-phase power products at our Delaware, OH facility. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to meet customer specs and ensure reliability in the field.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical systems, knowledge of UL/IEC/NEC, and strong documentation skills. Occasional travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in product development/testing.
• Experience with 3-phase power, STS, PDU, and related systems preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with UL/IEC/NEC standards and application to product design.
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of summarizing technical data for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of STS and PDU 3-phase power products per standards and customer specs.
• Translate requirements into detailed engineering specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Specify power distribution layouts, cable sizing, and environmental considerations.
• Develop circuit breaker coordination schemes and integrate controls for monitoring.
• Create test plans for thermal, EMI, metering, controls accuracy, and fault withstand.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and produce thorough technical documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.
• Identify process improvements and drive implementation with management.
