Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer for Central Engineering focusing on Steam Plant Systems. You will analyze electrical designs, sizing, protection, and reliability for plant equipment.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 5 years of related experience or a Master’s with 4 years; experience with transformers, switchgear, breakers, and power distribution is essential. Some after-hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years in design/analysis of industrial systems or
• Master's degree with 4 years in design/analysis of industrial systems.
• Electrical engineering background with experience in power distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform system condition assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Review system descriptions, P&IDs, and design basis docs.
• Provide engineering support to steam generating stations and outages.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and present detailed reports.
