Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks an electrical systems engineer to own the lifecycle of hardware programs from requirements to verification. You will liaison across electrical, thermal, mechanical, and software teams to ensure performance, safety, and manufacturability, driving trade studies for architecture and interfaces.

In this fast-paced role, you will develop ConOps, lead reliability analyses, and guide design reviews while maintaining clear documentation and rationale for decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
• 3+ years of engineering experience in electrical hardware design
• Experience in requirements definition, system architecture, and integration/verification
• Experience and working knowledge of Matlab or Python to build models and perform trade studies

Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and trace electrical system requirements across the full development lifecycle.
• Develop electrical system architecture, interface definitions, and block diagrams.
• Author and maintain Concept of Operations (ConOps) documents that align stakeholders across hardware and software domains.
• Lead FMEA and other reliability and safety analyses to identify and mitigate design risks.
• Drive verification and validation planning to confirm the design meets requirements.
• Coordinate across hardware, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to resolve system-level trade-offs.
• Support design reviews with clear technical documentation and decision rationale.
