Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a systems engineer to own the requirements and baseline for electric propulsion, attitude control, and flight dynamics across multiple satellite configurations. You will manage budgets, interfaces, and trade studies, ensuring traceability from mission needs through verification.

You will collaborate with flight software, power, thermal, mechanical, avionics, test, and flight operations teams, guiding verification, on-orbit readiness, and design decisions across lifecycle stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of spacecraft or aerospace systems engineering experience.
• Experience with attitude determination and control systems.
• Experience establishing system-level requirements for new designs.
• Experience defining interfaces between subsystems with hardware and software.
• Experience establishing test strategy for complex systems.
• Experience with physics-based modeling of large systems.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements and baseline for propulsion, attitude, and flight dynamics.
• Maintain system budgets and margins across disciplines.
• Define interfaces with flight software, power, thermal, mechanical, and avionics.
• Establish verification and test strategy for hardware/software.
• Lead fault management activities and readiness reviews.
