Job summary

KLA is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Ann Arbor, MI site to design and validate electrical subsystems for advanced power systems used in semiconductor tools.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree with related work experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in electrical system integration.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical parts, modules, and subsystems for integrated measurement systems.
• Drive the full design lifecycle from requirements to scheduling, including circuit, timing, thermal analysis for 120‑480VAC power systems.
• Program PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley) and integrate control and safety‑interlock systems.
• Create conceptual and detailed designs using AutoCAD and CREO, including drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and fixtures.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate across mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing.
• Procure prototype parts, conduct testing, and support system integration and manufacturing handoff.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure design requirements are met throughout the lifecycle.
