Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, seeks an Electrical Engineering intern to design reliable electrical systems, define products through BOMs, and document changes. You will optimize designs for manufacturability, reduce parts, and cut costs across manufacturing processes.

You'll work with CAD tools including CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, supporting service and production teams and ensuring quality in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, layouts and schematics using CAD software.
• Create Bills of Material (BOM).
• Select materials for engineered parts.
• Dimension and tolerance drawings for proper assembly.
• Conform to drafting standards and department policies.
• Prepare engineering change notices (ECN).
• Coordinate with suppliers.
• Check own work and that of others.
• Work independently with minimal direction.
• Maintain knowledge of One World, PRIDE and PC network systems.
• Support Customer Service with direction on electrical and multiplexing field problems.
• Support Manufacturing with direction on electrical and multiplexing questions and upgrades.
• Support Production with direction on option configuration.
• Duties vary by business unit and internship location.
