Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Engineer – Mechanical to design, analyze, and improve heavy‑duty vehicle components. You’ll support senior engineers, perform basic calculations, and develop layouts, drawings, and BOMs under supervision.

Qualifications include an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and internship experience or six months of related work. CAD experience and automotive knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field along with Internship experience or six (6) or more months of related work experience.
  • Experience with a high level CAD system.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designs functional, reliable and cost effective heavy duty vehicle components.
  • Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
