Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead critical electrical subsystem development for our Public Charging Network. You will own safety-related PCBAs from concept to production, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams to ensure robust charging systems.

The role requires 3+ years in system integration or engineering, experience with DFMEA, and proficiency in Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years of system integration or system engineering responsibilities.
Proficiency in requirements management tools and agile project management tools (Jira and Confluence preferred).
Experience with DFMEA principles and Functional Safety Analysis.
Proficiency in leveraging data analysis and systems engineering tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsibilities

Ownership of electrical sub-systems and safety critical functions within the new DC High Power Charging Product Line ecosystem.
Driving key design decisions with cross functional coordination amongst the relevant stakeholders, including hardware and software development teams.
Ownership of requirements for the electrical sub-systems including maintaining requirements baselines at key project milestones/gates.
Contribute to architecture development and electrical system-level design for all charging products.
Collaborate with validation teams on system/sub-system plans for requirement traceability.
Define interfaces with the software team and ensure integration of charging hardware and software systems.
