Job summary

Rivian is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Systems Engineer to spearhead critical electrical subsystem development for Rivian’s Public Charging Network. You will be responsible for leading the development of controls and safety related PCBAs from proof of concept to production.

You will own electrical sub-systems, drive key design decisions with hardware and software teams, and ensure requirements baselines and traceability across milestones, contributing to architecture and system-level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of system integration or system engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for requirements and agile project management.
• Experience with DFMEA and Functional Safety Analysis.
• Data analysis and systems engineering tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical sub-systems and safety-critical functions within charging product lines.
• Drive design decisions with hardware and software teams.
• Manage electrical subsystem requirements and baselines at milestones.
• Contribute to architecture development and system-level design for charging products.
• Collaborate on design trade studies and interface control documentation.
• Work with validation teams on requirement traceability and testing.
• Analyze test data for performance trends and optimization.
• Create schematics, manuals, specifications, and test reports.
