Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer at Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team on site. The role bridges Systems Engineering and Electrical Design, defining the electrical architecture, interfaces, timing, and verification to meet overarching system objectives.

You will translate system requirements into electrical requirements and ensure traceability across subsystems.

Qualifications

• Level 3 requires 5 years of relevant experience with a BS or 3 years with a MS.
• Level 4 requires 8 years with a BS or 6 years with a MS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the electrical architecture, including power distribution, communication buses, and key interfaces.
• Define and document electrical interfaces between subsystems ensuring compatibility with system requirements.
• Translate system requirements into testable electrical requirements and ensure bidirectional traceability.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Software and Integration teams throughout design and integration.
• Support verification activities, including development of verification plans and acceptance criteria.
