Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer – Level 3 or Level 4 to join our Chandler, AZ team. The role bridges Systems Engineering and Electrical Design, focusing on architecture, interfaces, timing, and requirements management.

This position is 100% on site in Chandler, AZ. The candidate will develop electrical architectures, define interfaces, perform trade studies, and ensure traceability from system requirements to ICDs and verification artifacts.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience with electrical systems engineering, including requirements development and interface documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define and document electrical interfaces between subsystems and ensure compatibility with system-level requirements.
• Analyze and define communication flows across electrical and data buses (e.g., LVDS, MIL-STD-1553); assess bandwidth and timing margins.
• Translate system-level requirements into clear electrical and interface requirements with traceability to verification artifacts.
• Foster cross-team collaboration across Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Software and Integration & Test.
• Support development of electrical verification plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
