Job summary

Lee County Electric Cooperative in North Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Specialist I, GIS to create and update electronic mapping and drafting systems in the System Graphics department. The role performs advanced GIS updates and provides drafting support to Engineering and Operations.

Responsibilities include updating GIS maps from as-built requests, creating drawings, maintaining the connectivity model, field checks with GPS, and supporting storm restoration as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
• 2+ years GIS or CAD experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or ESRI MapWise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update GIS maps from as-built work requests and other sources.
• Create and update system drawings as required.
• Maintain GIS connectivity model and perform field GPS checks.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and deliver projects on time.
• Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed.
