Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer, Electrical (Starlink Aviation) in Woodinville, WA. The role focuses on owning outsourced parts, leading NPI at suppliers, and driving quality and manufacturability improvements across the supply base.

Responsibilities include solving supplier manufacturing challenges, conducting DFMs, PPAP, and collaborating with procurement to align supplier capabilities. A strong emphasis on risk mitigation, process improvement, and cross-functional leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM is required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, supply chain, or quality experience (lab projects and internships qualify).
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FAIR and metrology concepts.
• Knowledge of lean principles and quality tools (SQC, DOE, SPC, PFMEA).
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and work onsite in Woodinville, WA.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact with suppliers to mitigate manufacturing risks.
• Own outsourced parts from cradle to grave and drive PPAP and ramp-up.
• Partner with procurement to source parts aligned with supplier capabilities.
• Provide leadership for New Product Introduction at suppliers.
• Validate corrective actions and ensure robustness across lines and suppliers.
• Lead containment activities with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, and attention to detail.
• Drive results and customer satisfaction through project leadership.
