Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a team of electrical technicians delivering repairs, maintenance and compliance services across our homes and communities in Croydon and beyond.

You will report to the Operations Manager for Electrical Compliance, oversee workloads, mentor staff and ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent resident service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising electrical repairs, maintenance and compliance.
• Two years' experience as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• AM2 certification where applicable.
• Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2395).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382).
• Experience in housing maintenance environments and safety compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NICEIC requirements and health and safety rules.
• Experience mentoring technical teams to high performance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and deliver first-time fixes when possible.
• Excellent communication with residents, colleagues and contractors.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and vulnerable residents' support.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends and 24-hour emergency on-call rota.
• Driving licence with up to 6 points and at least two years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical technicians to deliver repairs, maintenance and compliance services.
• Ensure work complies with NICEIC standards and current health and safety regulations.
• Support regulatory assessments and implementation of regulatory updates.
• Manage workloads, development and performance of the electrical team.
• Achieve first-time fix targets and resolve complex faults.
• Coordinate communication with residents, contractors and internal colleagues.
