Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead and direct all field electrical construction activities for utility-scale power generation projects, including CCGT facilities. This role oversees electrical craft personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

This position requires extensive experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical construction experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in industrial, power generation, or heavy construction environments.
• Willingness to travel and work project-based schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical construction activities within assigned project areas.
• Supervise electrical craft personnel, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, company safety policies, and project requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work schedules to meet project milestones.
• Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, MCCs, cable tray, raceway systems, grounding, and power/control cabling.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams.
• Support system turnover, energization, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain construction documentation.
