Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and direct all field electrical construction activities for utility-scale power generation projects, including CCGT facilities. This role oversees electrical crews and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-schedule, on-budget execution with quality standards.

You will coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and schedules, review drawings, and support turnover, energization, startup, and commissioning efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10+ years of electrical construction experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in industrial or power projects.
• CCGT, simple cycle, or utility-scale power generation experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction sequencing, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work project-based schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical construction activities within assigned project areas.
• Supervise electrical craft personnel, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety policies, and project requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work schedules to meet project milestones.
• Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, MCCs, cable tray, raceway systems, grounding, and power/control cabling.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams.
• Support system turnover, energization, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain construction documentation.
