Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for its Industrial District to lead electrical operations on self-performed construction projects nationwide. You will supervise foremen and craft workers, ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence, and coordinate between field teams, engineering and clients.

The role requires travel to project sites across the United States, with per diem and relocation considerations provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in self-perform construction, 3+ years as Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical scope of a project as the Superintendent, managing foremen and electrical craft workers, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Liaison between field engineering and craft to address engineering challenges with PM, CM and technical team.
• Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors, inspection companies, client and Kiewit staff to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties and inform management as appropriate.
• Assists in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
• Ensure project rules and safety policies are followed consistently and that non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies are observed.
• Establish budgetary guidelines and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
• Establish quality standards and manage job schedules, coordinating with contractors and suppliers and scheduling inspections.
