Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a supervisor for the 82 Electrical team. This role supervises semi-skilled and skilled trades, trains employees, and ensures adherence to drawings and procedures while overseeing manufacturing, installation, testing, and cost-impacting processes.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma and 8 years of experience with 4 years in a craft management role, and be willing to work any shift. Experience using IFS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel.
• Trains employees to improve quality and productivity, and aids in training procedures.
• Translates broad strategies into practical action plans and ensures plan execution.
• Ensures compliance with drawings, procedures and other technical requirements.
• Manages manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and cost-impacting processes.
• Monitors staff and budget performance across all shifts.
