JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.
Key Role Responsibilities - Core
- Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture and demonstrates commitment to an injury-free environment.
- Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
- Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small or large projects.
- Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Coordinates and manages the care, custody, and control of the project site.
- Leads various meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
- Participates in project progress and OAC meetings.
- Creates and manages the project's schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- May track and monitor project budget and costs using project management systems.
- Communicates key project information to all stakeholders.
- Maintains project documentation and updates drawings, logs, and diaries.
- Approves and records unit cost information and completes reports.
- Evaluates progress and makes adjustments as needed.
- Manages material and equipment needs.
- Supports procurement processes.
- Assists in selecting tools and equipment for self-perform operations.
- Manages timecard approval to ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensures quality compliance and supports project closeouts.
- Participates in project pursuit and pre-planning.
- Partners with field leadership on staffing and project changes.
- Participates in negotiations and project reviews.
- Understands and applies contract terms.
- Responsible for recruiting top talent and promoting diversity and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities - Superintendant 2
- Manages complex projects from start to finish.
- Assumes responsibility for management, scheduling, safety, and quality.
- Identifies and manages project risks.
- Uses experience to identify problems and solutions.
- Manages deliverables from internal resources.
- Participates in project pursuits and negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform work accurately and timely.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management, and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of construction management fundamentals and project processes.
- Ability to build relationships and manage budgets.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
- 5+ years construction experience; 3+ years supervision.
- Experience with Lean principles preferred.
Working Environment
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require travel and working in extreme conditions.
