Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Madison, GA seeks an Electrical Superintendent to lead the plant's electrical function, overseeing the Electrical Supervisor, Planner, and team to support Principle-Based Management and deliver strong operational results.

This role emphasizes safety by promoting involvement and accountability, provides technical and leadership guidance, and contributes to reliability and overall plant success.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or similar setting.
• Working knowledge of PC-based tools such as MS Word and Excel, and maintenance or production reporting systems.
• Ability to learn and apply site-specific systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of salaried and hourly associates in the Electrical Department.
• Plan and assign daily work tasks to optimize labor and maintenance resources.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support training of electrical personnel.
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including PLCs, motors, drives, control systems, and power distribution.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Utilize CMMS to plan, track, and analyze maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation to support maintenance and projects.
• Work with Project Leaders and Engineering to support installation, startup, and optimization of new electrical systems.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.
