Job summary

Thor is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution of large-scale data center construction projects in Texas. This site-based role directs electrical installation activities, ensuring safe, on-schedule delivery and high quality.

You will interface between field crews, subcontractors, project management, and commissioning teams. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in electrical construction with strong field leadership, and 2+ years on data center or mission critical

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical construction and strong field leadership experience.
• 2+ years on data center or mission critical projects preferred.
• Proven track record as Electrical Foreman or Superintendent on large projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Experience with general contractors or major electrical subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site electrical construction activities across assigned data center projects.
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, foremen, and field crews.
• Drive daily and weekly construction planning, sequencing, and execution.
• Ensure electrical work aligns with drawings, specs, and code requirements.
• Coordinate with MEP trades to manage interfaces and avoid clashes.
• Maintain schedule adherence and focus on critical path activities.
• Oversee installation quality, inspections, and commissioning readiness.
• Support QA/QC and CX teams through turnover phases.
• Enforce site safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Manage material coordination, logistics and field productivity.
• Identify and resolve field issues and sequencing conflicts.
• Participate in site meetings, progress reporting, and coordination with leadership.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution of large-scale data center construction projects in Texas.

This is a site-based leadership role responsible for directing all electrical installation activities on hyperscale builds, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.

You will be the key interface between field crews, subcontractors, project management, and commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site electrical construction activities across assigned data center projects
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, foremen, and field crews
• Drive daily and weekly construction planning, sequencing, and execution
• Ensure electrical work is installed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements
• Coordinate closely with MEP trades to manage interfaces and avoid clashes
• Maintain focus on schedule adherence and critical path activities
• Oversee installation quality, field inspections, and readiness for commissioning
• Support QA/QC and commissioning (CX) teams through turnover phases
• Enforce strict site safety standards and compliance (OSHA and company policies)
• Manage material coordination, logistics, and field productivity
• Identify and resolve field issues, constructability challenges, and sequencing conflicts
• Participate in site meetings, progress reporting, and coordination with project leadership

Key Systems Exposure

• Medium and low voltage distribution systems
• Switchgear, transformers, and electrical rooms
• UPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure
• Cable tray, conduit, and underground distribution
• Grounding, bonding, and site electrical infrastructure
• Support for EPMS / BMS integration readiness

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in electrical construction, with strong field leadership background
• 2+ years of data center or mission critical project experience (preferred)
• Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman or Superintendent on large commercial/industrial projects
• Strong understanding of electrical systems installation and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Experience working for a General Contractor or major electrical subcontractor
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume construction environment

Preferred

• Exposure to commissioning and turnover processes
• Trade background as a Journeyman or Master Electrician (REQUIRED)
• Experience managing large electrical crews and multiple subcontractors
