Job summary

OnQCx is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical operations for a hyperscale data center project. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing on-site electricians, subcontractors, and budgets.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in electrical construction, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of codes and schematics. This full-time role is based on-site for a major data center project in Amarillo, TX.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years in electrical construction with 2–3 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
  • Datacenter construction experience or heavy industrial background.
  • High school diploma or GED; degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, drawings, schematics, and construction methods.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications and codes.
  • Direct and coordinate electricians, subcontractors, and other personnel to complete tasks.
  • Enforce site safety protocols and OSHA/company standards.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, resolving conflicts or delays.
  • Monitor budgets, track material usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other superintendents to maintain milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily progress, change orders and inspections.

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and manage electrical operations for a hyperscale data center project in Amarillo, TX. The ideal candidate will ensure all electrical work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency and has previous experience working in fast paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Lead and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Team Management: Direct and coordinate electricians, subcontractors, and other personnel to complete project tasks effectively.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, identifying and resolving any conflicts or delays.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track material usage, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trade superintendents to coordinate activities and maintain project milestones.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets project and industry standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily progress, change orders, inspections, and other critical project documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction, including 2–3 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
