Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Student Intern for our Austin, TX office. The role focuses on learning electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems for building and site infrastructure projects, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

You will review drawings, perform calculations, and coordinate with vendors, with opportunities to work on design tasks like system modeling and panel schedules.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BSEE degree program at an ABET accredited university.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Local to the Denver area.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems related to building and site infrastructure projects.
• Understand engineering drawings and specifications, perform calculations, and coordinate information with vendors.
• Perform field site visits and assist with drawing checks and clerk duties under supervision.
• Contribute to electrical system modeling, lighting and power calculations, and panelboard/equipment schedules.
