Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform electrical apparatus work onsite at customer facilities in Indianapolis. The role covers electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs to electrical apparatus.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with potential preference for Electrical/Electronic Technology training. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred.
• Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, and commissioning preferred but not required.
• Zero to three years of relevant experience.
• Entry-level role with hands-on problem solving and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution of mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean substation components.
• Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and training.
• Other duties as assigned and related to the position.
