Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking an Assembly Technician to join the Omaha, NE team. The role supports assembling electrical components in substation buildings and requires following diagrams, using power tools, and wiring tasks on a day shift.

You will lift, terminate wires, and assist in the overall assembly process, with overtime and weekend availability as needed. A high school diploma and 2 years manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Omaha, NE location.

Responsibilities

• Reference and interpret schematics to install electrical components into the metal structure of the substation building.
• Use power tools including drills, hand tools, measuring tape, and pipe bending/cutting tools as needed.
• Run and terminate wires to various electrical components (AC/DC panels, disconnects, and terminal blocks).
• Lifting, overhead work, and working from a ladder as required.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needs.
• Focus on safety, customer service, quality, productivity.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends.
