Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division seeks an Assembly Technician to join the Omaha, NE team. The role involves assembling electrical components for metal power substation buildings, interpreting diagrams, and wiring to meet state codes. Expect overhead work, ladder use, and a focus on safety and quality.

The position offers a structured environment with benefits and the possibility of overtime, with a daytime shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Employment is on-site in Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• No immigration sponsorship or relocation offered; must reside within 50 miles of Omaha, NE.
• Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Reference and interpret schematics to install electrical components into the metal structure of the substation building.
• Use power tools including drills, hand tools, measuring tape, and pipe bending/cutting tools as needed.
• Run and terminate wires to AC/DC panels, disconnects and terminal blocks.
• Perform lifting/overhead work and occasional ladder tasks.
• Respond to change notices and customer requested adjustments; focus on safety, quality and productivity.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends.
